Determination of the Main and Related Controlled Cross-Sections on the Example of the Kola-Karelsky Transit

The paper describes the process of calculating the static stability of the electric network to determine the maximum flows in the controlled sections of the 330-220-110 kV transit from the power system (PS) of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region through the PS of the Republic of Karelia to the PS of the Murmansk Region. For each of the four controlled sections, a search was carried out for boundary, but actually existing (archived) modes – with maximum and minimum transit capacity. These modes were determined based on the balance of active power «in the South» and «in the North» relative to each section. The criteria for choosing the main section, which would ensure minimal restrictions on the network's capacity as a whole, were formulated and tested.

Keywords: steady-state modes, controlled sections, maximum flows.

Fault detection and classification in electrical power transmission lines using LogNNet neural network

The paper considers the problem of fault detection and classification on electric power transmission lines using the LogNNet neural network. The database of currents and voltages obtained by simulating various faults in MATLAB was used. The experimental results showed that the LogNNet neural network model is able to classify various types of faults with an accuracy of ~77 %. Obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of using the LogNNet neural network for solving problems of fault recognition in electric power systems, opening up prospects for the development of intellectual solutions in the field of power line maintenance.

Keywords: neural networks, LogNNet, power transmission lines, fault detection.

Electrical networks parameters calculation using multipoles and conductivity matrices

Method of analysis and optimization of electric networks is proposed, which is based on modeling of individual network elements by multipolars and conductivity matrices. This approach allows to increase the degree of calculation automation and to unify the representation of individual elements in the electric diagram.

Keywords: electrical network, multipolar, matrix analysis, conductivity matrices.

The application of Fe80-XCoXP14B6 amorphous ribbons as a sensitive element of the tensile strain sensor

This paper considers the sensitivity of amorphous ribbons of nominal compositions Fe40Co40P14B6 and Fe52Co28P14B6 to tensile strain. It has been shown that the composition with a high percentage of iron (Fe52Co28P14B6) demonstrates greater sensitivity to tensile deformation. The possibility of practical design of a load cell based on a magnetoelastic element made of Fe80-XCoXP14B6 ribbon is considered. Proposals for the sensor design have been developed.

Keywords: strain sensor, metal glasses, magnetostriction.

Development of a testing complex for automation systems controllers

The article presents the development of a testing complex for industrial automation systems based on industrial protocols, including the Modbus protocol. The relevance of creating a complex that allows debugging algorithms and determining the maximum load a controller can withstand when working with a large number of devices is described. The implementation of the complex using the libmodbus library is described. A description of the development of module emulators is provided: electrical parameters ME210-701, analog input MV210-101, and Mercury-236 electricity meter, implemented in the testing complex. The key functional capabilities of the developed program are listed. The results of testing the functions of the testing complex using the PLC210 and ESP32 microcontroller, as well as the Modbus Poll program, are described.

Keywords: automation systems, Modbus protocol, testing complex, device emulation.

Performance Analysis of Cache Memory with Hardware Data Compression Support

Memory subsystem throughput is often considered a performance bottleneck for modern general-purpose processors. This paper considers hardware data compression in cache memory as an approach to improve memory subsystem performance. To eliminate shortcomings of existing solutions aiming support hardware data compression, several organizational decisions are considered. An analysis of cache memory implementing these decisions is carried out. Its results show such cache memory to significantly speed up some SPEC CPU tasks that actively use cache memory, up to 21,4 % for 179.art task. At the same time, the new cache memory organization does not affect cache algorithms and has negligible hardware cost.

Keywords: processor architecture, memory subsystem, hardware data compression, cache memory, processor model.
