Application of digital morphological filters for surface topography measurement devices

Paper describes aspects of practical usage of digital morphology filtration methods in surface topography measurement devices. The results of the software realization of digital morphology spatial filters for 3D parametrical analysis of surface geometry are shown.

Application of the Pockels Effect to Systems Measuring Flow of Bulk Dielectric Materials and Mechanical Quantities

Employment of Pockels cells as sensing elements of detecting devices of systems measuring flow of bulk dielectric materials during pneumatic conveying and ones for impact measurements is presented. A new principle for impact detection based on transformation of a charge of a piezoelectric transducer into an optical signal by modulating the light stream passing through the Pockels cell is demonstrated. A detecting device and a data processing unit of the measuring system are connected using a fiber-optic line which considerably enhances the degree of system protection from impacts of external electromagnetic fields. Using a measuring dielectric insert (a measuring plane capacitor), the authors proposes a principle for estimating flow of a bulk dielectric material.

Study of patterns of flow rate remote switching in hygrometer

Purposes of research are calculation and experimental checking of flow rate, making recommendations for the development the remote gas switching scheme in hygrometer during measurement the volume fraction of moisture.
