Industrial refractometers and their application for control of chemical manufacturings

Design features, basic specifications and operating characteristics of optoelectronic industrial refractometric sensors for control of liquid solutions composition in chemical manufacturings are considered. Two most prevalent in real manufacturings modifications of such refractometers, conventional signified as PR-1 and PR-3, are represented. A brief description of their optoelectronic system and software support, including user menu is given; the results of refractometers application in pulp-paper, alimentary and other manufacturings are discussed.

Measuring information system for control of the linear and angular sizes of products on principles of intellectual computer microscopy

Problems of a computerization and intellectualization of universal and tool measuring microscopes are considered. The principle of construction of measuring information system for control of the linear and angular sizes of products on principles of intellectual computer microscopy is offered. Characteristics and possibilities of the computerized measuring microscope are presented.

About one algorithm for automatic homing of the autonomous underwater vehicle to the hydroacoustic beacon

This paper is dedicated for problem decision of autonomous underwater vehicle automatic homing to hydroacoustic beacon with unknown position. The information-probabilistic approach for localization of beacon is suggested in the paper. It uses range measurements from hydroacoustic navigation system and vehicles position from on-board dead-reckoning navigation system. Some modeling results of suggested algorithm proved its correct operation are presented.

Fuzzy logic based approach increasing reliability of eddy current testing for steam generator tubes at nuclear power plants

The article describes interfering factors influence on eddy current testing signals and problems during analysis this signals. The method based on fuzzy logic technique was suggested to increase reliability of eddy current testing.

Resistance transfer standard which transfers Ohm value from quantum Hall resistance (QHR) to the reference standard of 10 kOhm and then to the standard of 100 kOhm

A scheme is proposed for a resistance transfer standard which transfers Ohm value from quantum Hall resistance (QHR) to the reference standard of 10 kOhm and then to the standard of 100 kOhm. Metrological and design considerations are discussed. A bridge-comparator scheme for mutual comparison of transfer standard resistors with uncertainty (0,01...0,02) ppm and calibration procedure for the resistance transfer standard are also proposed.

Probe Nanotechnology Assembling of Conductive Nanoparticles

The probe assembling of the conductive nanoparticles clusters in liquids was investigated by molecular dynamics. The slow diffusion and fast drift process stages of nanoparticles assembling were considered. In the drift stage dielectrophoretical force was calculated by the boundary element method that uses Green's functions. The probes with a large (100 nm) radius of the tip appear more preferably than probes with a small (10 nm) radius. The results open prospects for probe nanotechnology methods, nanomechanics and nanoflyuidics.

On reference materials of composition for hydrocarbon refining gases and associated petroleum gases

The existing reference materials (RMs) for natural gases are not recommended for refining gases assessment. The requirements to the composition and their concentration ranges of RMs components for hydrocarbon refining gases and associated petroleum gases are formed.

Analysis of modern methods for viscosity measurement of confectionery mass

In this paper the basic methods and types of equipments for measurement of chocolate mass viscosity are considered. Calculation formulas of viscosity are presented for several types of devices as well as their advantages and disadvantages are estimated. The empirical equations of chocolate mass flow and their features are also presented. On the basis of obtained results it is stated the necessity of developing of advanced method for precise measurement in aim to more economical use of high-cost raw material.
